The Arboretum

An arboretum is a botanical garden, usually designed as a landscaped area, in which many species of trees are laid out in thematic compositions.
Adjacent to the Clos Rocher, our arboretum shelters 82 conifers of various origins: one from each country in which Champagne Gremillet is savoured. It is not only a reminder of our first steps abroad and our long-lasting relationship with many French embassies and importers, but also a message left for future generations.

The tree is a symbolic reminder of the spiral emblem found on the metal cap of our bottles, representing the course of life and the optimism of our house. Through its longevity and its cyclic nature, the tree is the ultimate symbol of how life is forever changing and of continually renewed hope. Trees are the bridge between heaven and earth, representing the spiritual, the material, generosity, courage and resistance.
«Trees with the deepest roots are those that grow tallest» (Frederic MISTRAL). This vision sums up the spirit of our family house, which does not lay claim to a long history but is creating it day after day.

The arboretum’s cabin enables the visitor complete immersion into the world of the different species of birds, butterflies and flowers in the region.
